An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
